Coming to the fuel efficiency, Unicorn is able to return about 50 kmpl on a normal day in the city which can be increased to about 55 kmpl on the highways. The 13-litre fuel tank capacity can easily provide a riding range of over 630 km if ridden sanely.

Honda XBlade
Honda XBlade 160 is a premium commuter bike in the 150-160cc segment. It comes with better futuristic styling and sharp edges that ensures it is picked by young professionals. Priced at Rs 1.15 lakh ex-showroom, it sits in the middle of entry-level street bikes segment. Honda Hornet 2.0
Moving on to the next Honda bike, we have the Hornet 2.0. It is a sporty streetfighter motorcycle developed by keeping the young riders in mind. It is based on the international Honda CB 190R streetfighter motorcycle and comes with muscular design language with striking edges.
The highlighting feature of the Hornet 2.0 is its fat golden USD forks which enhance the road presence of the bike. There are LED lighting all around including the headlight, taillight and the turn indicators. Honda has priced the bike optimistically at Rs 1.35 lakh ex-showroom for the standard variant and about one grand expensive for the sporty Repsol variant.

At the heart of the Honda Hornet 2.0 is an air-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, 184.4cc engine that breathes through a 2-valve head. This BS6 engine pumps out 17.03 bhp at 8500 rpm and 16.1 Nm torque at 6000 rpm. These number might not look impressive on paper but the actual performance of the bike is peppy due to its light kerb weight of just 142 kg.
It gets a 5-speed gearbox which is unfortunately short-geared that makes it a city-only bike. The average highway speed you can ride without straining the engine is around 85 to 90 kmph. There is no vibration whatsoever in most of the rev band. Expect a fuel economy of around 45 kmpl in city rides that can go up to 48-50 kmpl on the highways only at speeds up to 60 kmph. The 12-litre fuel tank provides a range of over 500 km in a single tankful.
The digital instrument panel comes with all the important readouts like speedometer, odometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, gear position indicator and more. For the rider, the seat is well-padded and offers good level of comfort to the rider. However, the riding posture is slightly forward leaning to deliver a sportier stance.
A pair of fat golden USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear offers stiff ride quality which can unsettle the rider on the bad patches of roads. You have to ride slow over bad roads to stay balanced and firm on the ground.

Honda CB 200X
Based on the Hornet 2.0, the CB 200X is more of an adventure tourer motorcycle under Rs 2 lakhs in India. It is has a beak, raised stance and multi-purpose tyres. Apart from these, all other aspects of the bike are completely similar to that of Honda Hornet 2.0. Due to addition of various parts and body work, the CB 200X weighs 5 kilos more than the Hornet 2.0 at 147 kg.

Honda H’ness CB350 is a classic cruiser from the house of Honda which is launched in India to tackle the supremacy of the Royal Enfield’s classic cruisers in India. It is well-priced at Rs 1.98 lakh for the deluxe variant and Rs 2.03 lakh ex-showroom for the Deluxe Pro variant.
The H’ness CB350 is a classic bike with oodles of chrome which is targeted at the riders who are looking for a smooth highway tourer with modern features at a reasonable price tag. It carries a design from the middle of twentieth century but sport all the latest technology in the engine and the instrument cluster.

This classic motor pumps out 20.78 bhp of power at 5500 rpm and respectable 30 Nm torque at 3000 rpm. All this power is sent to the rear wheel by a 5-speed gearbox. Despite a 5-speed gearbox, the engine feels relaxed at highways speeds because the gearing is on the taller side.
Coming to the mileage, the H’ness can return up to 40 kmpl when ridden at 80-90 kmph on the highways. However, in the city limits, the mileage would take dive to about 35 kmpl which isn’t bad either. Honda CB350 RS
Now we have another sibling of H’ness CB 350 which is called the CB350 RS. It is more of a sporty classic machine that gets lower set handle bars and rear set footpegs leading to a sportier riding stance. The CB350 RS comes with blacked out engine parts, handler bar and fenders to make it sportier and modern.
It is priced at Rs 2.03 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi which is around Rs 7,000 more expensive than the H’ness CB350 Deluxe variant. The reason behind this is the inclusion of more expensive machined parts in the RS when compared to the H’ness. Only three choices of colours are available on the CB350RS – Radiant Red Metallic, Black with Pearl Sports Yellow, Athletic Blue Metallic.
The changes made to the H’ness to convert in into the RS made it a café racer styled bike for riding in the city or weekend getaways. It is powered by same 348.36cc, single-cylinder, long stroke engine which is fed by fuel injection system and 2-valve head. This motor delivers same 20.78 bhp at 5500 rpm and 30 Nm torque at 3000 rpm.
A tall-geared 5-speed gearbox keeps the engine stress-free at highways speeds. The top speed of the CB350 Rs is around 130 kmph. It accelerates to 100 kmph in around 12 seconds making it faster than all other classic cruisers in this price range.
The mileage of the RS is also similar to that of H’ness in the range of 35 to 40 kmpl in city and the highways rides. It gets same 15-litre fuel tank that provides a range of up to 600 km from a single tankful.
Coming to wheels and tyres, there is a 19-inch front alloy wheel at the front and 17-inch alloy wheel at the rear. The front tyre is similar in dimension while the rear tyre is wider at 150 mm cross-section. The seat height on the RS is same at 800 mm but the saddle is wider than the H’ness for more comfort.

The latest Honda bike in India is none other than CB300F. It is a premium streetfighter bike from the house of Honda. Honda CB300F is available at a price tag of Rs 2.25 lakh ex-showroom for the Deluxe variant and Rs 2.29 lakh for Deluxe Pro variant. The bike retails only through premium Bigwing dealerships of Honda which are around 100 at present.
When looked from far, CB300F reminds us of Hornet 2.0 because its overall design is similar to the younger Honda. However, from a closer look, one can distinguish it from the Hornet because of its mature and evolved design language. It has similar fat golden USD forks which enhances its road presence. At this premium point, the CB300F comes equipped with full LED lighting including the headlight, taillight and the turn indicators.
It gets three colours – Sports Red, Mat Marvel Blue Metallic, Mat Axis Grey Metallic.
Moving to the power train of the CB300F, there is an oil-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, 293.52cc engine breathing through a 4-valve head. After the CB300F, we have another street-fighter motorcycle from Honda which is basically a roadster. The CB300R carries Neo-retro street motorcycle design language which is unique to the brand. Honda discontinued the BS4 version of the bike and launched it in India again in BS6 avatar. As a typical Honda trait, CB300R has been priced too high up the ladder surpassing the price of BMW G 310R at Rs 2.77 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi.

Honda CB500X
With Honda CB500X, we entered the premium bikes segment from the house of Honda. The CB 500X is an adventure tourer bike which is made for riding over long distances. However, one can also use the bike for mild off-roading thanks to its stable frame and lower-centre of gravity. Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic are two colour options to choose from.

Up next, we have the premium streetfighter Honda CB650R. It is a bike developed for city and highway use and comes with a neo-retro design language we first saw in the Honda CB300R. The CB650R is priced at Rs 9.14 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi. It is available in two colour choices – Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, Candy Chromosphere Red.
This naked Honda is propelled by an inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine breathing through a 16-valve head. This powerplant pumps out 85.8 bhp of max power at 12000 rpm and 57.5 Nm twisting force at 8500 rpm. All this power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox connected to the engine by a slipper clutch.
Coming to the performance, the CB650R can hit 100 kmph in about 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of over 200 kmph. At present, the CB650R is the most affordable 4-cylinder naked bike available in the Indian market. The next best inline 4-cylinder bike is the Kawasaki Z900 prices a little over the Honda.
Being a superbike, one must not divulge in the details of fuel efficiency as it returns around 20 kmpl in mixed riding conditions.

Honda CBR 650R
Honda CBR 650R is a middleweight superbike featuring a high-revving four-cylinder engine, sporty design and ergonomics. The full fairing of the bike keeps it stable even at its top speed of 220 kmph and aids in reducing the windblast to a minimum. Like the CB, this race machine is also available in two choices of colour – Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.
With clip-on handlebars, the riding posture on the CBR 650R is on the sportier side but one can also tour on the bike over short distances. It is more lead forwards than an average sports tourer motorcycle. It carries a price tag of Rs 9.34 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi.
This super Honda is moved by an inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine breathing via a 16-valve head. This powerplant pumps out 85.8 bhp of max power at 12000 rpm and 57.5 Nm twisting force at 8500 rpm. All this power is sent to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox connected to the engine by a slipper clutch.
Coming to the performance, the CB650R can hit 100 kmph in about 4.5 seconds and can hit a top speed of 220 kmph. At present, the CB650R is the most affordable 4-cylinder middleweight superbike available in the Indian market.
Being a superbike, one must not divulge in the details of fuel efficiency as it returns around 20 kmpl in mixed riding conditions. If you are on a highway tour, expect around 300 km of range in a single tankful.
On the dashboard, there is a fully digital instrument cluster delivering a plethora of information to the rider. If provides readouts of speed, mileage, fuel consumption and much more. The headlight, taillight and turn indicators are all LED units.
The suspension system is comprised of USD forks at the front and linked type monoshock at the rear that provides superior stability at high speed and also keeps bike stable around the corners. Here, the braking department is taken care of by 310 mm disc brake at the front and 240 mm disc brake at the rear accompanied by dual channel ABS and traction control system.

Honda Africa Twin
Finally, we have the Honda Africa Twin here which is a hardcore adventure bike directly brought for the people from the Dakar Rally. It is the only bike to get a dual-clutch automatic transmission as an option. Choose from the two colours this bike is available in – Matte Ballistic Black Metallic and Pearl Glare White.
At the core, it has a liquid-cooled, 1082.96cc, twin-cylinder engine breathing via an 8-valve DOHC head. This powerplant generates 97.89 bhp at 7500 rpm and a peak torque output of 103 comes up at 6000 rpm. A 6-speed manual transmission is present for reduction duties with an option of 6-speed Dual Clutch Automatic Transmission.
There is a 6.5-inch touch screen meter console which provides all the information that you might ever seek. You can also adjust suspension via the touch screen and can change the bike settings and ride mode. There is Bluetooth connectivity feature which allows GPS navigation right on the screen.
Speaking about the fuel economy, the bike can return up to 18 kmpl on the highways and with a 24.8 litres fuel tank on board, Africa Twin will continue to run for about 440 km in a single tankful.
Safety on the Africa Twin is provided by switchable dual-channel ABS, 6-axis IMU based traction control and cornering ABS. Off-roading is made easy by 21-inch and 17-inch front and rear wheels with dual purpose tyre. The suspension system is comprised of Showa USD forks at the front and pro-link monoshock at the rear with full remote adjustability and 220 mm wheel travel.

Honda CBR 1000RR-R
Let’s move to the superbike from Honda. The CBR 1000RR-R is the only litre-class race machine available on sale in India from the stable of Honda. Powering the CBR 1000RR-R is a newly developed 1000cc, liquid-cooled, 16-valve DOHC engine pumping out massive 215 bhp of max power at 14,500 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque arriving at 12,500 rpm. CBR is suspended on USD forks at the front with pro-linked monoshock suspension with remote compression and rebound settings. In braking department, there is a 330 mm front and 220 mm rear rotors with four-piston and 1 piston callipers. Safety net is provided in the form of dual-channel ABS, cornering ABS, Launch control, traction control and more.

Honda Goldwing
Have you ever seen a sofa on two-wheels? No? Honda Goldwing is called such. It is a humongous touring motorcycle with all the luxury facilities such an automatic gearbox, cruise control, airbag and what not. This bike has features that no other bike offers in the touring segment. There is only one Gunmetal Black Metallic colour is available at present.
Powering the Goldwing is a straight six engine which is unique to this motorcycle at present. The 1833cc, longitudinally positioned engine makes 124.7 bhp of power and 170 Nm of twisting force to move this 390 kg behemoth. There is a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission mated to the engine which is usually found in premium cars in India. The power to the rear wheel is transferred by a shaft drive system instead of regular chain or belt drive.
The suspension at the front is also unique as Goldwing gets a double-wish bone suspension for comfortable ride. At the rear though, a regular pro-linked monoshock suspension is fitted. To stop this 4 quintal motorcycle, a capable braking hardware is available with 320 mm and 316 mm disc brakes on both ends with heavy duty callipers.
